Thank you for visiting; the intention is that this is a quick and accessible resource for any anaesthetist that is involved in managing major trauma in the South Yorkshire region.
The Northern General Hospital in Sheffield is a designated adult only Major Trauma Centre, and we are fortunate to have local experts in a wide range of trauma related areas including pre-hospital, neurotrauma, motorsport, mountain rescue etc. This site would not be possible if it were not for their input and support.
I hope that by pooling guidelines, documents, evidence, research etc. into one area we can create a useful and current resource for what is a rapidly evolving area of medical care.
